Financials Foundation Cayuga Waterfront Trail The Chamber Foundation continues to lead efforts to maintain, enhance and promote the Waterfront Trail with a team of partners including the City of Ithaca, Tompkins County, Cornell University work-study interns, Adopt-A-Trail partners, and volunteers. A major highlight of fundraising and installation of the "Competitive Rowing in Ithaca" interpretive panel at the Crew Cove Overlook, depicting Ithaca's unique rowing history. Leadership Tompkins This great collaboration between the Chamber Foundation and TC3 yielded another graduating class of 21 in June. Highlights of the program included organizing this year's Giving is Gorges Day of Giving, Escaping the Escape Room, participating in a Poverty Simulation, played Government Jeopardy, creating an Identity Wheel to help learn strategies for enhanced diversity and inclusion, and touring the IPD SWAT command center as well as hearing leadership advice from young Officer Colin. Beautification, Signage, and Public Art Progress In 2017, the Beautification, Signage and Public Art Program made over $140,000 of direct investments, and leveraged over $180,000 in non-profit, public and private investment resulting in a more inspiring, beautiful, well- cared for, visitor-ready community.
