Last year, as incoming Chair, I made a request that everyone say "yes" to the Chamber. A year later I nd myself so grateful to the many wonderful people and organizations that continually say "yes" lending their time and talents to all things Chamber. We are great because of all the support we receive. This was an incredible year. There is much to celebrate in the public arena, but I want to take a moment and reect on what this year meant to us as a Chamber. I think of this as our Housekeeping year… a year to look critically at ourselves, identify where we can improve, and ensure that the foundation is strong to build on for the coming years. We did a lot of work on our own policies, procedures, structures, nances and administration to ensure that we are a lean, ecient and eective organization and the best possible stewards or our membership's support. I am so incredibly proud of all that was accomplished this year. The sta of the Chamber and CVB work so hard serving our community with incredible heart and often personal sacrice. Their sound work, genuine intention, and outstanding service have both direct and indirect benets to everyone in our community. I ask that you continue to say "yes" when asked to help. We need people to say "yes" to the Chamber… to volunteer, to support and to bring your voice to the table. The Chamber is "our" Chamber – it is uid, ethical, thoughtful, mindful, fair, sound, nimble and responsive to the needs of our community. It is a place where people can come together to have conversations about complex problems that need complex solutions. I have thoroughly enjoyed my year as Chair, it's been a tremendous honor to work with Jennifer, the sta and the board, and my advocacy of the Chamber has continued to grow. We do great, important work and I want to thank everyone for your support. Please continue to give in any way you can and keep saying "yes"! Yes to the Chamber 2015 Board Chair Kara Taylor
