Sheer cliffs across the gorge and downstream contain layers of llenroc, a local bluestone used in many campus buildings. Spell it backwards to get the joke. Find the trailhead on the south end of the suspension bridge, across from the Johnson Art Museum. Turn right on the orange-blazed Cayuga Trail to find the path down to the falls. 0.2mi. Steep steps. Moderate Open year round, no winter maintenance. 16 DIRECTIONS FROM ITHACA Take Buffalo St. east (uphill) 0.3mi and turn left on Stewart Ave. Go 0.8mi and turn right on Fall Creek Dr., just past the Fall Creek bridge. The small visitor parking lot is 0.2mi on your right. Open year round, dawn to dusk. Swimming prohibited. Dogs allowed on leash. No fee.
