C O M | 4 7 DOWNTOWN CHILI COOK OFF Saturday, Feb 11, features chili prepared by approximately 30 local chefs and restaurants as they compete for the tles of Best Meat/Overall Chili, Best Vegetarian, and People's Choice Chili. The Chili Cook-off features a farmers market with local vendors, wineries, and breweries sampling their products. ITHACA FESTIVAL Friday, June 2 - Sunday, June 4, is a three-day music and arts celebra on featuring over 1,000 talented local musicians, ar sts, dancers, community groups and ensembles performing over the course of the weekend. Enjoy the opening parade, mul ple stages of entertainment, kid's ac vi es, a cra show, a local film fes val, and delicious fes val food throughout. APPLE HARVEST FESTIVAL Friday, Sept 29 - Sunday, Oct 1, Ithaca's premier event of the Fall is three days of revelry surrounding food, fun, and apples! This event showcases some of the rich farming and ar s c communi es of Ithaca and Tompkins County. Visitors can catch a variety of stellar local performances located on the Ithaca Commons, our outdoor pedestrian mall. WIZARDING WEEKEND Friday, Oct 27 - Sunday, Oct 29, transforms Downtown Ithaca and Press Bay Alley into our very own Wizarding World! All magical and muggle folks are welcome for a family-friendly Harry Po er themed event including wizard duels, magical vendors and costumes galore. There is much to explore and discover as you collect Horcruxes, watch Quidditch matches and a end wizarding classes. WINTER FESTIVAL Thursday, Dec 7 - Saturday, Dec 9. Enjoy samplings from the Chowder Cook-off and beer, wine or hot cocoa from local vendors as you finalize your holiday shopping! LOCAL TIPS In the mood for music? The Downtown Summer Concert Series is every Thursday all summer long! Located at the Bernie Milton Pavilion on the Ithaca Commons, enjoy the beer garden and an early start to the weekend. Have kids? Enjoy the newly installed playground located in the center of the Ithaca Commons!
