Wayfinding & Interpretive Signage Project Throughout 2016, the Chamber continued to advocate for this project with key stakeholders, and submitted a fresh request for funding support to New York State. 2017 will bring a new coordinated effort for this project, as well as other much-needed interpretive signage in our com- munity, and hopefully a demonstration project to increase momentum for this important initiative. Hosting Intimate Conversations with Officials and Candidates In 2016, the Chamber hosted conversations with Lt. Gov- ernor Kathy Hochul, Senator Tom O'Mara, Assemblywom- an Barbara Lifton, Senator Schumer's regional director Amanda Spellicy, and candidate Leslie Danks-Burke. Community Outreach The Chamber invested more time in Tompkins County's smaller communities, meeting with business owners in Groton, Dryden, and Trumansburg with increased fre- quency. In 2017, we look forward to continuing our efforts to become more geographically diverse and engaged. The addition of new jet service to Philadelphia is directly attributable to the support we have received from our local flyers. We count on the Chamber's support as we work to sustain and grow our air service options." Mike Hall, Manager Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport "You truly feel like you are part of a team when you are a member of the Tompkins County Chamber. Through our membership, HOLT stays connected in the community through Chamber events; helps support local advocacy and outreach programs; and even celebrates critical company mile- stones with the Chamber's help - such as our recent open house for our new office."
