This past year marked a period of transition for the Tompkins Chamber & CVB as we returned to our core mission and sharpened our focus on member needs. We expanded outreach across Tompkins County, strengthening connections and laying the groundwork for lasting impact. A key milestone in 2025 was the establishment of Tompkins County Employer Resource Network to help member businesses retain their workforce. We also forged strategic collaborations that amplified our reach alongside continued efforts to attract and grow talent within our community. Through high-impact programming and intentional initiatives, we delivered meaningful value to our members. Our destination achieved first-tier national recognition, which is an exciting affirmation of this talented team and our collective efforts. Together, these accomplishments position us for continued momentum and success in the year ahead. With gratitude, Peggy Coleman, President & CEO In 2025, I served as chairperson of the Tompkins Chamber and Foundation boards—an opportunity that has allowed me to work alongside an inspiring group of dedicated, community-minded volunteers from the Chamber's membership. Together, we share a commitment to ensuring a thriving Tompkins County. Our Board's work is strengthened by an exceptionally creative and capable staff, guided by two outstanding leaders. Peggy and Rob lead by example, fostering an engaging, action-oriented culture where the organization's values are lived every day. That culture drives well-planned events that build authentic connections while promoting collaboration and inclusion— key to the Chamber's remarkable member retention rate, an important metric for any membership organization. I'm excited about all 2026 holds and look forward to connecting with more Chamber members who share a commitment to making our county an even better place to live, work, and do business.
