Ithaca, NY was named the prettiest town in New York,
in Architectural Digest's list for The Prettiest Town
in Every U.S. State, July 2018.
TREMBLEY HOUSE, Trumansburg (originally built 1870's)
First constructed as a hotel, it has served as a Masonic Temple since
1914. Italianate with beau ful cast and wrought iron details that were
fashionable during the la er half of the 19th Century in Trumansburg
but are now hard to find so well-intact.
ST. JAMES AME ZION, downtown Ithaca (originally built 1830's)
As an Underground Railroad sta on, Frederick Douglass and Harriet
Tubman spoke here.
BOARDMAN HOUSE, downtown Ithaca (originally built in 1860's)
For more than 50 years, from 1911 to 1968, served as a campus
building for the Ithaca Conservatory of Music, which became Ithaca
College in 1932.
